A proprietor is required to obtain a hotel license as soon as one room is rented out on a daily basis, whether it is called a hotel, hostel, guest house, B&B or apartment.
The required documents include the company documents, construction permit, floor plans, title deed, location map showing that there are no schools nor temples in the immediate surroundings.
A hotel license is not required for residential buildings that do not exceed four rooms and house fewer than 20 guests.
The license must be renewed every five years.
