Guide to Business Internationalization in Southeast Asia

In recent years, ASEAN countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Brunei) have established themselves as a primary production hub and an important attraction for international investments.

Taken into account as a whole, ASEAN is the fifth largest economy in the world in terms of GDP and is among the most dynamic regions. Moreover, along with the relentless population growth of over 660 million people, the ASEAN region is the next candidate to become one of the main consumer markets in the world.

In this context, Thailand, due to its geographic position and infrastructural endowment, as well as from the perspective of the ASEAN market, is the ideal ‘hub’ for the development of operations that look to access the entire region of Southeast Asia. The country’s stable economy, as well as the business opportunities it offers, has led to the establishment of important Italian companies in the automotive, aerospace, luxury retail, and Food & Beverage sectors, amongst other industries.

The webinar represents an opportunity to deeply explore and discuss investment opportunities for Italian companies offered by the growth of the economies ofThailand and ASEAN. The European House Ambrosetti together with its strategic partner in the ASEAN region, Mahanakorn Partners Group (MPG), will host high level representatives of Thai institutions in support of foreign investments, in addition to offering the practical knowledge of speakers from leading Italian companies present in Thailand.

To date, the confirmed speakers are: Lorenzo Galanti (Ambassador of Italy in Bangkok), Cherdchan Arunrat (Director, Thailand Board of Investment, Paris), Fabrizio Ceccarelli (Senior Account Manager, SACE Hong Kong), Alessandro Menocci (CEO, Danieli Thailand), Alberto Strada (Managing Director, Ducati Thailand), Luca Bernardinetti (President and Managing Partner, MPG) and Lorenzo Tavazzi (Partner and Head of International Development, The European House – Ambrosetti).

PROGRAM

Following the webinar, there will be an opportunity to receive free and personalized consultation from the consultants of MPG and The European House – Ambrosetti through a 15-minute video call, which will be held during the afternoon of October 29th or during the day of October 30th.

The exclusive publication of FDI Incentives & Doing Business in Thailand 2020 written by MPG will also be made available to the participants of the webinar.
